Pokemon Go leads man with arrest warrant to police station

I’m really enjoying Pokemon Go. Not the game, which I haven’t played, but the torrential amount of stupidity that it is leaving in its wake:

MILFORD, MI (WXYZ/CNN) – A Pokemon Go player with a warrant out for his arrest went to the police station to play the game and got arrested.

William Wilcox was riding his bike in his pajamas and playing Pokemon Go, when he found himself at the flagpole outside the Milford Police Department building.

The police station is a gym in the popular mobile game, and in this case literally led a known criminal right to their doorstep.

“Fortunately, sometimes they make our job easy for us,” Milford Police Chief Tom Lindberg said. “The original charge he had was for breaking and entering, but the warrant was for failure to appear for sentencing. He either forgot he had a warrant out for his arrest or was just ignoring it thinking nothing will happen.”

Several officers recognized Wilcox and arrested him on the spot.

Two Narratives on the Plagiarized Speech

Melania Trump: ‘I wrote it with as little help as possible’

Today’s statement released by Drumpf: “In writing her beautiful speech, Melania’s team of writers took notes on her life’s inspirations, and in some instances included fragments that reflected her own thinking.

Listen, I don’t think anybody expects any speech given at this point to not go through a team of writers. Especially given that English is not Melania’s first language, and given that a major point of Trump’s platform is anti-immigration, that of course her speech would be put through the editing wringer.

What I’m surprised about, and none of us should be at this point, is the glaring incompetency of Trump’s staff. Trump has hammered over and over again about how Obama is the most evil thing to happen to this country since child labor laws and his team of speech writers than crib a section of Michelle Obama’s 2008 DNC speech?

America Gets RickRolled

From Vox:

At first glance, Melania Trump’s Republican convention speech on Monday was a pretty ordinary candidate’s spouse address, but subsequent readings suggest a whole lot went awry here.

For one thing, she or her speechwriter appears to have cribbed a whole paragraph from Michelle Obama’s Democratic convention speech from 2008. For another, she and/or her speechwriter included a full-on Rickroll:

“He will never, ever, give up. And, most importantly, he will never, ever, let you down.”

Video of it is here. Judge for yourself.
