Stunning video released Monday shows an angry man ramming his pickup truck through the lobby and into the front desk of an Oklahoma hotel as two women dive for safety at the last second.
John Edward Parsley, 62, of Gonzalez, Texas, was held on $1 million bond Monday night in the Woods County Jail on two felony counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and one count of malicious injury to property valued at more than $1,000, according to court records.
The incident occurred Thursday in the town of Alva, about 110 miles northwest of Oklahoma City. No one was injured, but the lobby of the Alva Comfort Inn and Suites was severely damaged.
The full video, from three security cameras, was provided to NBC News by Kingson Christian, the hotel’s manager. In it, the driver of the 2006 Sierra GMC can first be seen talking with a police officer outside the hotel entrance.
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — A 12-year-old boy who has been arrested more than 20 times was arrested again on Monday. St. Petersburg police say he stole a car from an 89-year-old man.
On Friday, Dec. 11, Raymond Raftery, age 89, was driving his Toyota, when a 12-year-old boy on a bicycle told him that his tire was low on air. Detectives say when Raftery pulled up to an air pump and got out of the car, the boy ditched his bike, jumped in the car and drove off. Raftery was not injured.
Detectives say the theft happened at 11:00 a.m. at 4890 22 Ave. S. and was captured on surveillance video.
