Gerry Canavan was at the inauguration and took some pictures of christian protesters around his section.
You can tell a lot about an administration by what they allow google to index.
I kept my daughter home from school so that she would not have to watch him or pretend he is a good man. I will not allow her to be a hypocrite. She knows what he is and we will not deviate from our position and give him the benefit of the doubt where there is NO DOUBT about him.
Because of Obama, I had to introduce what partial birth abortion is. This is the first President in our history that supports something so vile.
I’m not watching any t.v. today. Even on the radio, it’s all they’ve been talking about. I don’t want to hear it. I’m calling January 20, 2009 “Day of the Great Sadness.”
Um…I just cannot wrap my head around this whole thing. I cannot believe he’s our pres. I will miss Bush! I think people will realize very quickly that the only man who can solve our troubles is GOD. Not Obama!
I am not watching it… I cant. But I am in prayer with a heavy heart. Its very hard for me to pray for him knowing what he stands for. But I pray for his salvation that someday he will see God in a whole new light. I also pray for the safety of this nation, that God wouldnt abandon us just yet.
Please Lord Jesus, come soon!
I’m sadened by all of this. My head tells me God is on the throne but my heart just can’t rationalize it.
I can’t believe when I saw Bush walk out to Hail to the Chief I actually started crying, so sad for my country that doesn’t realize what a good job he actually did in protecting us. Sad that we have seen our best days, now it’s in the hands of a man who has no experience or sense about the world politically.
Now we have a man who when giving his oath of office, I will execute… (millions of babies…).
He couldn’t do it without the teleprompter.
At the begining of his speach the tv screen went all fuzzy–my first thought was “Jesus is coming!”—I got real excited then it came back on and Obama was still talking.
Very sad day. Very sad indeed. But, for those of us who belong to Jesus Christ, we know that our citizenship is in heaven, awaiting our arrival when our Lord calls us home. Don’t loose hope. The US was a great place while it lasted but it isn’ home.
Many American Christians believe, as an article of faith, that we are to pray for the success of our leaders. It has become a sort of conventional wisdom among soft-minded believers. The biblical proof-text for this misguided way of thinking is Romans 13:1-4.
What could be more clear-cut? At face value, it would seem the Bible is telling us government is a God-ordained good and that we are not to resist its terrors.
Many a coward has been bolstered in his conviction against challenging tyranny by not reading too deeply into the Scriptures. Yet, nowhere does the Bible ever suggest evil rulers are to be obeyed.
That’s why I do not hesitate today in calling on godly Americans to pray that Barack Hussein Obama fail in his efforts to change our country from one anchored on self-governance and constitutional republicanism to one based on the raw and unlimited power of the central state.
From BBC News:
Australian writer Harry Nicolaides has been sentenced to three years in a Thai jail for insulting the monarchy.
Nicolaides wrote a novel four years ago, which contained a brief passage referring to an unnamed crown prince. It sold just seven copies.
He admitted the charge of insulting the royal family, but said he was unaware he was committing an offence.
Thailand’s monarchy is sheltered from public debate by some of the world’s most stringent “lese-majeste” laws.
From English Russia:
Some Russian bloggers tried to imagine how the popular international brands and products could look if Russians took over the world someday…
Why that is Vince Offer:
In 1999 Offer released the Underground Comedy Movie to scathing reviews. Lawrence Van Gelder of the New York Times described the movie as “a series of sketches built around subjects like masturbation, defecation, alienation, urination, necrophilia, voyeurism, casual brutality and mockery of the unfortunate.” He added that Offer “makes the common mistake of equating the recognition of comic potential for comedy itself. For the successful, talent bridges the gap, but here it is absent.” DVDs of the film were marketed via television infomercial.
The film also generated several lawsuits. Offer filed a copyright-infringement suit against Peter and Bobby Farrelly and Twentieth Century Fox, claiming that 14 scenes in There’s Something About Mary were taken from his own film. The Farrelly brothers responded, “We’ve never heard of him, we’ve never heard of his movie, and it’s all a bunch of baloney.” In addition, Offer sued Anna Nicole Smith for breach of contract, alleging that Smith had agreed to appear in Underground Comedy Movie but backed out, claiming it would hurt her career.
In 2004, Offer, an ex-Scientologist, sued the Church of Scientology, alleging it had declared him a criminal and had urged its members to “write false and malicious reports against him.” Offer claimed that the church’s action against him caused him to lose a successful business, as many of his employees were Scientologists who quit upon learning of the church’s actions.
I’ve seen the ShamWow commercial approximately 1.21 jigowatts times but I hadn’t seen the SlapChop one:
I guess the only question that remains, besides “What’s a jigowatt?” is why the hell is he wearing a headset?
