Neil Gaiman Childrens Q & A

From Bloomsbury.com:

What’s the best thing you’ve ever written?

Possibly a book called Mr Punch. Probably Coraline. If you do it by counting awards and award nominations, it’s probably American Gods.

What’s the last piece of your writing that you hated and threw in the wastepaper bin and why?

It’s not something I do very often — mostly because I do my rough drafts in nice notebooks or computers, and even if I don’t use something, I’d never throw it away.

Is there any particular ritual involved in your writing process (favourite pen, lucky charm, south facing window)?

I like writing with fountain pens, in interesting coloured inks, but really and truly I can write on more or less anything, more or less anywhere, if I get interested.
