Positive People Day Update

A friend of mine just passed me some links about positive people day. Here is the Globe's article about it. Apparently this is the sixth straight year of Positive People Day. Nancy Purbeck, optimist extraordinaire, says she wants Postive Peoople day to "rank alongside Christmas or Valentine's Day". Here is their homepage.

Oh good, I guess they solved the problem of violence in the world. These people have too much time on their hands. Getting rid of cynicism and negativity by handing out flyers? INGENIOUS. And why choose Underdog as your champion? I guess he hasn't worked in 30 years so he was free. And do you think that paying someone a compliment is going to stop violence? Where are these people from?
