Mission Accomplished..... NOT!

The press is all over the Mission Accomplished Banner that was on the aircraft carrier where Bush landed when he gave his "Its over" speech. Well, now considering all of the casualties that are still being inflicted to US troops in Iraq, Bush is trying to distance himself from the whole carrier public relations stunt including the banner. He says that it was the Navy's idea and that it was referencing their particular mission. Here is Salon's article about it. Here is Cnn's article about it. I don't really care too much about the banner. I resent that Bush thinks we are that stupid to think that he didn't have any control about the banner. They had control over everything on that aircraft carrier so don't tell me you didn't realize there was a huge banner on the bridge of the ship. The whole speech was about how we had accomplished our mission in Iraq. Stop blaming the Navy for your mistakes.
