I have a love/hate relationship with Dreamhost. They’re actually a pretty good hosting company. It’s just that when something goes wrong, it really goes wrong.
I hear ya chris, I’ve got about 15 sites on dreamhost, and got a bill for a full year’s worth of hosting, I just about carped my pants (fish jokes ftw).
Luckily they did notice it and are fairly transparent about screw ups like this.
I still really like Dreamhost and am very happy with them after about 4 years of service. Sure, they screw up now and then, but they are always honest about it and work fast to correct it.
