I did laugh heartily my good sir. Thank you very much for posting this. I come from a Colombian family and of us who are the second generation to be natural born American citizens only 4 of 9 can speak passable Spanish. The five that don’t can barely pronounce “rojo”. It’s always a great point of laughter at family gatherings when one of the 5 engage in discussions with what sounds very much like this first semester Spanish.
But seriously, Spanish is becoming a useless language to learn. With so hispanic people learning English and so many Americans learning Spanish it’s no longer a marketable skill. Learn something rare, like arabic, which is very profitable…unless you’re gay. God forbid a man who likes penis save the lives of thousands of soldiers.
