Right. One of my favorites is Pink’s “Dear Mr. President,” directed at Bush.
Some key lines:
How do you sleep while the rest of us cry?
How do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye?
How do you walk with your head held high?
Can you even look me in the eye
And tell me why?
What kind of father would take his own daughter’s rights away?
And what kind of father might hate his own daughter if she were gay?
I can only imagine what the first lady has to say
You’ve come a long way from whiskey and cocaine.

Those lyrics would have much more topical before the last election.
I’m always happy to notice that artists on my side of these kinds of issues have traditionally created much better music and art than their side.

She’s playing a Japanese made Ibanez guitar. Way to take it back!
“Hopscotch on sidewalks,
Kites in the air.
Family drives on Sunday,
Blue ribbons at state fair.
Those are things of days gone by…”
Uh – those things are not allowed any more? WTF?
When did Obama and his liberal/communist/fascist storm troopers outlaw kite flying?
It’s great how these ‘real americans’ are so quick to say ‘get the fuck out of our country!” So much for the ‘world-wide welcome’ of The New Colossus.
