  3. Milo,

Several bowls of Crispix with a banana and lactose free 2% milk.

  4. Angry Sam,

A bowl of apple sauce, a slice of cold pizza, and lots of coffee.

  5. A banana, some peanutbutter, and pomegranate tea with the following inspirational message: “Life is a chance. Love is infinity. Grace is reality. I’m a dirty hippie.”

  6. err,

a packet of sugar and some peanut butter smeared on a playing card.

  7. Either nothing, or possibly a chocolate chip cookie.

  8. Erin,

I want Tanya’s breakfast! Instead, I will likely be having a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios.

  9. Nothing. Does a large coffee from 7-11 count? Oh, and I had a cough drop.

  10. Rob-Ert,

A bowl of “industrial strength” cereal with a side of toasted whole wheat english muffin smeared over with crunchy peanut butter.
Milk substance rotates between Rice, Soy and Almond milks.
(”industrial strength” is a minimum of four different cereals mixed together)

  11. Two slices of buttered whole wheat toast and a big cup of black coffee.

  12. @ err and Trace: LOL

I want Angry Sam’s breakfast. I actually heard pizza for breakfast is a better than donuts, because it has calcium, grains and protein. And donuts have fried grease and gingivitus and diabeetus.

  13. cicely,

Special K Fruit & Yogurt, dry, and coffee with stevia and a lot of creamer.

  14. Oatmeal (quick oats variety) with brown sugar, dried cranberries and raisins. A cup of Skyr yogurt and a strong home brewed Americano (two shots espresso, hot water and half&half).

  15. Justin,

Somehow, my girlfriend and I ended up with 15 bananas in our apartment. So bananas.

  16. Piri,

carrots, milk, and a slice of salmon fritatta

  17. outeast,

Well, next breakfast won’t be for a fair few hours yet – this morning’s was a large pot of coffee, then i ran out of time. Still, that covers the nutritional basics right?

  18. Ksue,

Coffee and 2 pieces of sourdough toast with butter and apricot jam.

  19. Jocelyn,

    Eggs, hash browns and sausage.

  20. mojorodriguez,

Coffee w/stevia/soy hazelnut creamer & a piece of homemade whole wheat banana nut bread.

  21. @ Abbi- I love “diabeetus”! I almost want to get diabeetus so I can talk to everyone about how I have diabeetus. *Note: I just like the pronunciation, please don’t get all sensitive about diabeetus…I don’t care that your grandpa has it.

  22. *Note to my previous note: The previous note was directed to EVERYONE, not specifically to Abbi. The comment, however, was just for Abbi…so why did the rest of you read it?

  23. Jonathan,

Scrambled eggs with sauteed onion, serrano pepper, bay leaf, nutmeg, cumin, chile powder, black pepper and salt.

I am not exaggerating when I say how incredible this breakfast is.

  24. Inti,

This morning it was nothing as I woke up late and had to run to work, so I’m catching up with a nice one tomorrow:
Soft-boiled eggs, bread with butter, jam and honey. If I can find yogurt, I’ll also add granola with brown sugar. For drink: tea and/or chocolate milk.

  25. DreamDevil,

    Instant Oatmeal? WTF is that?

    I eat regular oatmeal:

    1 part oats
    2 parts water
tablespoon of salt(or less, use judgement)

Microwave it for 2 mins at 750W, stir, another 2 mins.

Served with Lingonberry Jam and milk.

  26. Inti,

I had always thought of oatmeal as something sweet, not salty. And with milk, not water.

  27. dave,

my morning porridge (what aussies call oatmeal) consists of chucking some oats sultanas and water in a high sided bowl (to prevent messy boilovers) in whatever proportions I feel like and microwave for 4 min. The boiling of the water stirs it for you. Then some milk and chopped fresh apple. The sultanas plump up and sweeten the porridge. The crisp apple gives an otherwise sloppy mush an enjoyable crunch.

  28. Aurora,

I eat the same thing everyday. A bowl of instant oatmeal with a handful of cashews and a handful of walnuts mixed in.
And I suggest you do too.

  29. @ Trace: Rock me Diabeetus This is also a good way to start the day.

  30. Abbi – I needed that! Thx

  31. SQUID_DECOR,

Capn’ Crunch – the box is certainly more fun to read every morning than the oatmeal box.

Almost burned the house down with one of their toys when I was a kid. Tried to charge up the glow-in-the-dark plastic skelleton by leaving it on the lamp for a few hours.. and was rewarded with firey plastic stuff dripping down onto the desk, and lots of yelling from my mother. Good times!

  32. Erich Schrempp,

I remember by favorite breakfast as a child: My mom was out of town and my Dad was looking after us. He had to leave early a couple of mornings so he had his friend Ray come in and fix my brother and I something to eat when we got up. Ray, confirmed bachelor, fed us popcorn and chocolate cake. Best. Babysitter. Ever.

  33. @ Erich: Bill Cosby has a few words for Ray.

I am posting what I eat for breakfast every day that Chris is gone.

Monday – Toast, cream of wheat, tea

Tuesday – banana and peanut butter, sadness

Wednesday – Toast, oatmeal, banana, coffee, despair
