This is so unethical. Two adults no matter how clearly dim-witted smarmily dismissing facts to children who are uncapable of good judjement of their own is just disgusting. It’s no different from training children that the holicaust was fake, they can’t rationally defend themselves from someone who is lying to them, they are being intelectually bullied. Jesus is so awesome!
I am grateful that he church I grew up in desperately tried to weave bullshit into a silk shirt like these two boneheads do. The experience practically paved a highway to atheism for me once I started thinking for myself. I’m confident that will happen for a lot of these kids, too. The bigger the whoppers these “young earth science” potzers feed to their kids, the more kids are going to grow up to realize the church’s entire dog-n-pony show is a sham.
Hey, I’m at least somewhat relieved by the reporting. When the video started I was afraid it was going to be another one of those ghastly exercises in journalistic ‘balance’…
I can’t even laugh at this. I’m willing to tolerate religion to a point, I can even respect the basic notion that an omniscent, omni-potent being may exist to some degree. This is just an exercise in brainwashing. Evolution is a religious belief?! While it’s true that the beginning of the universe and life is still a mystery the scientific theory of evolution is pretty much solid, undeniable fact. Even with the big bang theory, it’s just a theory, not the end all be all answer. Science is all about the constant search for new answers and questions.
Religion itself evolves. Look at all the branches and sects that all stem from the same basic belief. I’d really love to see someone put out a book about the evolution of religions, though it’d probably have to be written over several volumes and would likely be ignored by the religious community anyways. For people who put so much faith in books it’s amazing how few of them read.
First of all, did you notice how the reporter pronounced “divisive” at the beginning? Good read, Terry.
Secondly, I liked, or disliked rather, the part at the end where the creationist guy says something like, “We Xians have chosen to believe the God of the Bible, and evolutionists have chosen not to believe. So we’ve [meaning Xians and evolutionists] chosen to believe. They’re both matters of faith.”
This is like saying, “I’ve chosen to eat a hamburger for lunch. John has chosen not to eat a hamburger for lunch. We’ve both know what we’re having for lunch.”
But John doesn’t know, he’s still researching his lunch options.

Those tests would have been soooooo much easier.
“This, is a fairy tale.”
HAH.
I didn’t know it was possible to laugh and vomit simultaneously.
I consider this to be child abuse.
Brain washing in action.

I like how the one pauses every now and then to see if the kids are going to guess what he’s thinking.
“Fossils are…Boring! You didn’t guess boring, but next time someone asks you what fossils are, you’ll know.”

I’d like to see an improv group do live spoofs of this tour, claiming The Flying Spaghetti Monster is the True Creator.

Everyone besides creationists-1, Creationists-0.
my favourite part is the end when he’s telling the kids to question
