Book I Read in January

Ugh. As you probably have noticed by my lack of posts, I’ve been a bit busy in January with life to have much time for anything else. It doesn’t help that January is the a horrible month full of darkness and cold and misery and general terribleness. And yes, January is almost over, but the longest month of the year follows. (Yes, I know, 28 days usually but 29 this year and every single day in February lasts 52 hours)

So in January, I have read:

This Land is Their Land: The Wampanoag Indians, Plymouth Colony, and the Troubled History of Thanksgiving by David Silverman. A well researched history of the “intermingling” of the early european settlers and those pesky native people who were already living here. I put it on my list for November to read for Thanksgiving but it only was available in my library by January. A solid but depressing read.

I’ll start posting more when I feel up to it. I’m staying away from the impeachment hearings for the most part. We already know that’s a sham.
