Trump calls Democrats “un-American” and “treasonous”

They didn’t stand for Little Fingers:

President Trump, speaking to a crowd of workers in Ohio, blasted Democrats, who he said acted “un-American” and “treasonous” during his State of the Union speech.

“You’re up there, you’ve got half the room going totally crazy wild, they loved everything, they want to do something great for our country,” Trump said. “And you have the other side even on positive news, really positive news like that, they were like death and un-American. Un-American. Somebody said treasonous. I mean, yeah, I guess, why not. Can we call that treason? Why not. I mean they certainly didn’t seem to love our country very much. But you look at that and it’s really very, very sad.”

  1. That’s not the pot calling the kettle black, it’s more like a black hole calling the kettle black. Besides, that’s exactly how the Right acted every time Obama made a speech.

  2. I’ve been listening to the Slate podcast called “Slow Burn” (about the Watergate scandal) and it has floored me on how many parallels there are with the current Republican admin’s comments and those of Nixon’s. They had Agnew and a few others calling the democrats “treasonous” and “should be hung up” kind of comments. They even Nixon himself referring to The Washington Post as “fake news”. But what really astounded me was there were (although VERY few) actually right wing radio pundits back in 1973 who were doing the same shill as Rush Limbaugh.
