In this story about Mueller’s investigation looking into Trump’s attempts to get Sessions to resign is this tidbit:
Behind the scenes, Trump has derisively referred to Sessions as “Mr. Magoo,” a cartoon character who is elderly, myopic and bumbling, according to people with whom he has spoken. Trump has told associates that he has hired the best lawyers for his entire life, but is stuck with Sessions, who is not defending him and is not sufficiently loyal.
Ok, granted, that’s a funny nickname. BUT IT IS NOT SESSIONS JOB TO BE LOYAL TO TRUMP. GAHHHHHHH.
So arming teachers is probably a bad idea….. Cue the NRA “We must arm the students too!”
DALTON, GA. – An armed social studies teacher has been arrested after shots were fired at a high school in a small town in northern Georgia.
Fifty-three-year-old Jesse Randall Davidson, a social studies teacher who also serves as the play by play voice for the Dalton High School football team, fired at least one shot before barricading himself inside a classroom, according to the Dalton Police Department.
The DPD reported that “shot or shots” had been fired at Dalton High School just after 11:15 a.m. on the department’s official Twitter account.
Yeah, hard pass for me:
There’s only one thing that could make Oprah Winfrey run for president in 2020.
Amid calls for her to consider a run for the White House — from fans as well as her closest friends — “I went into prayer,” she tells PEOPLE in the magazine’s new cover story. “ ‘God, if you think I’m supposed to run, you gotta tell me, and it has to be so clear that not even I can miss it.’ And I haven’t gotten that.”
Well, now how is he going to bring peace to the middle east?
Presidential son-in-law and adviser Jared Kushner has had his security clearance downgraded — a move that will prevent him from viewing many of the sensitive documents to which he once had unfettered access.
Kushner is not alone. All White House aides working on the highest-level interim clearances — at the Top Secret/SCI-level — were informed in a memo sent Friday that their clearances would be downgraded to the Secret level, according to three people with knowledge of the situation.
The SCI acronym stands for sensitive compartmentalized information, a category of information that comes from sensitive intelligence sources and must be walled off.
The memo was not signed by chief of staff John Kelly, but it comes as the retired Marine general and other top White House aides are grappling with the fallout of a scandal involving former White House staff secretary Rob Porter, which revealed that dozens of White House aides had yet to receive permanent clearances but nonetheless had access to some of the country’s deepest secrets.
