Trump’s AmeriKKKa

Anybody who doesn’t think racism played into this election at all is either lying or a fool. The GOP was never shy about using dog whistles to signal their southern strategy but Trump used a bullhorn while jumping up and down waving his arms. The racists now have seized upon Trump’s win of the electoral college that since the President is fine and dandy with using racist statements that it is once again perfectly acceptable in America to be an out and open proud bigot.

I wanted to share the letters that were put into my mailbox by apparently one of my neighbors on Maple street in Natick over the last three days. My heart and my deepest feelings of right/wrong and basic civility have been challenged by these two letters attached. Being a white man and never having personally experienced this kind of racial bigotry I am truly humbled and angered and ashamed by what is still present in our world today. I was brought up to not see color in my communities that were mostly white. My parents have always had many friends of color and taught me to be very excepting of every culture and difference in man/womankind. To me I am so deeply offended and worried for all of us. How have we come so far and yet we still have this kind of hatred?

It is my intention to make this public and go to the TV stations within a couple days. I need to speak with my housemates before I do this to make sure they are comfortable with what I’m about to do. I have zero tolerance for this kind of behavior and of course the Natick Police are 100% behind me in investigating this horrendous action. I’m not even sure how this will end up. But I can tell you that I am 100% committed to stepping forward and bringing this person to justice. To changing people’s viewpoints one day at a time. If anyone has any thoughts or experience please share. We must stand together and never allow this to happen to anyone.

Trump Looking at Fast Ways to Quit Global Climate Deal

From Reuters:

President-elect Donald Trump is seeking quick ways to withdraw the United States from a global accord to combat climate change, a source on his transition team said, defying broad international backing for the plan to cut greenhouse gas emissions.

Since Trump’s election victory on Tuesday, governments ranging from China to small island states have reaffirmed support for the 2015 Paris agreement during climate talks involving 200 nations set to run until Friday in Marrakesh, Morocco.

Trump has called global warming a hoax and has promised to quit the Paris Agreement, which was strongly supported by outgoing Democratic U.S. President Barack Obama.

Trump’s advisers are considering ways to bypass a theoretical four-year procedure for leaving the accord, according to the source, who works on Trump’s transition team for international energy and climate policy.

NYPD Investigates Nazi Symbols Scrawled on Dormitory Doors at the New School

Police are investigating after swastikas were found on four dormitory doors at the New School.

The father of a Jewish student, whose door was one of those desecrated, first reported the Nazi symbols.

He says his daughter has three roommates, including another who is Jewish and one who is Latina.

The symbols were scrubbed off by security.

We spoke with three of the students who discovered their door vandalized early yesterday.

They say they’re shocked and scared.

“It just shows that this can happen anywhere,” said one student. “Hatred is rampant. Anyone can be a victim of it.”

Trump’s First Decision is to Appoint a Wife Beater and Anti-Semite as His Chief Strategist

Not surprising really. The deplorable people that hitched their racist wagons to the dumpster fire that was Trump’s campaign are all about to get the keys to the White House.

Here’s a Rachel Maddow report on Bannon from August:

Friday night brought more revelations about Trump campaign CEO Steve Bannon, his divorces, and his sordid past with women. It appears there are court documents and more linking Bannon up with some terribly anti-Semitic sentiments.

Rachel Maddow reported on the latest charges, which include anti-Semitic remarks made about the school where Bannon’s ex-wife wanted to send their children, and more details about the domestic violence case against Bannon from 1997.

One of the real shockers (or maybe not) in her report was the sworn statement by his ex-wife that Bannon did not want their children going to an exclusive private school because of “the number of Jews that attend. He doesn’t like Jews and he didn’t like the way they raise their kids to be whiney brats and he doesn’t want the girl going to school with Jews,” Maddow reported.
