Idaho lawmaker asks if woman can swallow camera for gynecological exam before medical abortion

Idiot:

BOISE, Idaho — An Idaho lawmaker received a brief lesson on female anatomy after asking if a woman can swallow a small camera for doctors to conduct a remote gynecological exam.

The question Monday from Republican Rep. Vito Barbieri came as the House State Affairs Committee heard nearly three hours of testimony on a bill that would ban doctors from prescribing abortion-inducing medication through telemedicine.

Dr. Julie Madsen was testifying in opposition to the bill when Barbieri asked the question. Madsen replied that would be impossible because swallowed pills do not end up in the vagina.

Saudi Men Detained for Dancing at Birthday Party

Lovely:

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) — Saudi Arabia’s morality police detained a group of young men for dancing at a birthday party and referred them to prosecutors, according to a state-linked media report.

The news website Ayn al-Youm reported Saturday that the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice raided a private property in the city of Buraydah, arresting the men inside for “loud music and inappropriate dancing.”

Buraydah is the provincial capital of Saudi Arabia’s Qassim province, which is home to some of the kingdom’s most conservative clerics, who practice a strict interpretation of Islam known as Wahhabism.

Woman Caught Masturbating During ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’

Oh brother:

The woman, said to be 33 years old, was caught red-handed while watching the film at a cinema in Sinaloa, western Mexico.

She was noticed by other cinemagoers and reported. It was also claimed she was sitting in the 12th row of the movie house.
The woman was arrested and, ironically, given the S&M nature of the movie, slapped in handcuffs by cops.

Boston Bike Path Blocked by Wall of Snow – So Cyclists Tunnel Through It

From road.cc:

What do you do if you find your usual bike commuting route blocked by a wall of snow as a result of a huge wall of snow cleared from a nearby car park? Well, a group of cyclists from Boston, Massachusetts, took matters – and shovels – into their own hands and carved a tunnel through out.

Nicknamed Big Dig II, a reference to the city’s $20 billion road tunnel finished in 2007, the improvised tunnel sits on the Wellington Greenway beside the Malden and Mystic rivers and links Boston’s inner harbour to Medford.

Ari Goldberger told BDCwire.com: “One night I’m coming home and suddenly there’s this huge mountain of snow in the way. So I carried my bike over it and took a picture with the bike in front for comparison.”

He went to a nearby station operated by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) to complain, but was referred to the operators of the parking lot. They in turn said removal of the snow was the MBTA’s responsibility.

“Rather than waiting on hold for a million years calling the MBTA, I posted the picture online and said, ‘If nothing is done about this, it’s going to take months to melt.’”

His friend, Shadron Davis, said tongue-in-cheek they should Get some friends together and tunnel through it,” but on reflection she decided it was a good idea.
