Good. I was getting sick of his George W. Bush routine.
You read “leads toward diplomacy” here, but his speech yesterday advocated for a strike and it seems Russia is the one pushing diplomacy by most accounts. He’s horrid.

I still don’t see why we can’t just kill Assad.
Maybe because it’s immoral and against international law to assassinate a world leader for political and economic ends? (though that hasn’t stopped the U.S. Government in the past) I assume you already know the chemical weapons attack was carried out by Syrian rebels, not that it would justify war or assassination either.

The United States has never dealt with morality or followed international law when it didn’t feel like it. It certainly wasn’t moral or right for us to kill over 500,000 Cambodians illegally, but we did it anyway.
Assad is apparently a monster. No one seems to argue this. You don’t bother with diplomacy with monsters. It’s also useless to do these “strategic” air strikes that will essentially accomplish nothing.
If Assad is as bad as Obama and others say he is, kill him. Remove him from the equation. Let’s stop pretending that the U.S. is any less ruthless than any other ultra-powerful country or nation in world history. We have no moral high ground and never have.
In the past few weeks I’ve found myself wanting to walk up to the President (Yeah, good luck with THAT) and ask “Okay, who are you and what have you done with the guy I voted for?”.
