If it was solely used to reflect pronunciation in cases where there’s a pronounced accent, that would be one thing. But ‘gurl’? How would you pronounce ‘girl’ then – ‘geeeerl’? (Sorry, Chris, I know it’s nothing to do with you but… grrrr. And I watched a couple of other pranks on the channel and they were even more egregiously racist.)
