Mitt Romney will win the presidency with 275 electoral votes

From Unskewed Polls (I don’t think that word means what they think it means)

The QStarNews projection of the 2012 presidential race sees Mitt Romney being elected the next president of the United States with 50.67 percent of the popular vote and 275 electoral votes to President Obama’s 48.88 percent and 263 electoral votes.

QStarNews predicts the turnout nationally will includes 36.4 percent Democrats, 36.1 Republicans and 27.5 percent independents. QStarNews predicts turnout will rise by about four percent, or a total of about 131,165,384 voters including about 600,000 for third party candidates and the rest going to Romney and Obama.

  3. He had an even more preposterous map earlier with 359 to 179. Somehow Oregon was supposed to go to Romney! He’s basically that guy who added up a bunch of numbers in the Bible and decided he knew what date the world would end, except for polls.

  5. McGee,

Let us not forget the most scientific of all predictors that also failed: the Washington Redskins lost on their home field the Sunday before election day.

  6. WordyGrrl,

Another predictor: I spent the extra 3 bucks to buy a six pack of good beer (vs cheap, mass-produced, corporatized swill) on election night.
