On Monday, an anonymous user posted a photo on 4chan of a Burger King employee standing on two tubs of shredded lettuce with the caption, “This is the lettuce you eat at Burger King.” Using the photo’s embedded GPS data, it only took 4chan users 15 minutes to track down that the photo was taken at a Burger King in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. The three employees involved in the photo have been fired.

It’s amazing how much info you can get from exif data. There are sites that will give you results in seconds. I tried linking one, but I guess the Cynical Spam Filter blocked it. If you’re curious, Google “Exif veiwer” and try one.

Going by the look of that floor, a few boot prints in your lettuce are the least of your worries at that restaurant. The guy was probably just trying to keep his shoes clean,

Ok, disgusting, glad they got fired…
But isn’t this exactly the problem? The minimum wage guy hates the guy who makes a couple of bucks more per hour. He stomps on the lettuce out of rage and anger. Smart nerds, who might make a couple of bucks more figure out who they were, and get them fired. The giant fast food company that created this environment still makes money, and we get to hating each other more.
