  1. McGee,

I always wondered what the guy who did the Star Wars prequels blastings looked like.

There’s an actual webcast now? They could pull in some serious money, given how popular the STar Wars thing was.

Prometheus……. by far, my biggest dis-appointment so far this summer. I expected ‘Battleshit’ to be bad, and it was….. But now it seems, one of the great Directors, Ridley Scott, has forgotten how to make a decent movie…… Hint, hint Ridley….. First you need a decent story…………

    • Bacopa,

Should have brought in Dan O’Bannon who worked on the original Alien script. O’Bannon also worked on the script for John Carpenter’s first movie, Dark Star.

      • Angry Sam,

That would have been difficult, seeing as he’s dead.

      • FOE,

Well hell. There’s the first ten-minutes of the movie. Bringing the writer back from the dead.

  4. magpie,

I’m just wondering why the ancient astonauts left early humans with the address of their barren bio-weapons-factory world…

    • J,

it’s never actually stated that they did that on purpose, all we have to go on is the speculations of the characters in the movie, which may or may not be correct.

could just as easily be that the ancient humans got a look at the engineer’s maps & copied something that looked important without really knowing what it was.

really, it’s kind of like 2001 in my opinion; intended to raise more questions than answers

      • magpie,

In what universe do they let cave-men sit in on intersteller faster than light course plotting sessions?

  5. Julia S.,

I went in with no expectation of a great story… thus no disappointment! Visuals were great though…

  6. Matt,

When this movie and all the sequels are lined up together in a boxed set, the story will look just right. As the loose ends from the earlier episodes start to get tied up later and you get that ‘Aha!’ moment, you will wonder how you ever doubted the script way back at the first in the sequence.
I would have enjoyed this movie more if there had been a better closed story and not just a stepping stone, a beautifully shot stepping stone to the long story-line. It felt a little like watching he first episode of The Wire, with no idea of the potential to come.
