Dude who works the night shift at the store around the corner is a West Bank Druze, Grew up speaking an obscure dialect of Arabic and some Hebrew. As a Druze he got to go to special schools and receive formal education in Hebrew. and English. Came to the US and worked construction. Learned Spanish.
He is a language genius who has hardly any accent in English and speaks better Spanish than I do.
But he didn’t understand “cabron”. I explained it to him and he told me they have a similar expression in Arabic.
