Ron Paul Newsletter Advocates Killing Black People With Unregistered Guns

Found through Poor Mojo:

It is the hip-hop thing to do among the urban youth who play unsuspecting whites like pianos. The youth simply walk up to a car they like, pull a gun, tell the family to get out, steal their jewelry and wallets, and take the car to wreck. Such actions have ballooned in the recent months.

In the old days, average people could avoid such youth by staying out of bad neighborhoods. Empowered by media, police, and political complicity, however, the youth now roam everywhere looking for cars to steal and people to rob.

What can you do? More and more Americans are carrying a gun in the car. An ex-cop I know advises that if you have to use a gun on a youth, you should leave the scene immediately, disposing of the wiped off gun as soon as possible. Such a gun cannot, of course, be registered to you, but one bought privately (through the classifieds, for example).

I frankly don’t know what to make of such advice, but even in my little town of Lake Jackson, Texas, I’ve urged everyone in my family to know how to use a gun in self defense. For the animals are coming.

Now, there will be Ron Paul defenders in the comments who will shout “BUT RON PAUL DIDN’T WRITE IT!” Which seems to be true. He didn’t. He just allowed this to be in his newsletter under his name in bold.

  1. You’ve convinced me, members of the NAACP who know Paul have been tricked by him for 20+ years… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESYyYuEu-Kg
Obviously his plan to stop the drug war which hurts minorities more and make legal immigration easier is actually part of his larger evil plan to bring back segregation!

Seriously man, just because someone’s political beliefs are different than yours, automatically jumping to racist charges every time weakens your debating of the issues themselves… smaller gov. does not automatically mean racist!

    1. 1. Are you denying that the newsletters were published under his name?
      2. Are you denying that the newsletters were published by Ron Paul and Associates, the company founded by Paul and which counted Paul and his Wife as board members.
      3. Are you denying that the person that was identified as the author of the newsletters by close associates of Paul was his own Chief of Staff, and his close personal friend to this day? That this man was an inveterate racist and the founder of a racist neo-confederate organization? And that there’s new evidence that Paul himself was the author? (see: http://www.conservativesnetwork.com/2011/12/16/who-wrote-the-ron-paul-newsletters-ron-paul-wrote-them-clear-proof/)
      4. Are you denying that Ron Paul has had many close associations with Neo-Confederate and Militia groups over the years, and especially during the years the newsletters were published, and that those groups were nearly every one openly racist?
      5. Are you denying that Ron Paul made a million dollars off the sales of the newsletters in 1993 alone?

You’re telling me that even though he made a fortune off them, that his own company was publishing them, that either himself or his personal friend and secretary wrote them, and that they were published for over a decade under his name and were very well known in the very circles in which Paul operated at the time, that Paul didn’t know what was in those newsletters?? ARE YOU F’ING KIDDING ME????

BTW: The NAACP chapter in question pulled their support for Paul. So using that as a defense won’t fly.

    2. Well… arguably, yeah, differing political views are not a cast-iron guarantee of racism. Nor is a preference for ‘small government’. If you’re really gonna be a stickler about it then I suppose for charges of racism, you need… oh, I dunno… actual examples of clearly racist speech, maybe.

      So…

Are you seriously saying that ‘It is the hip-hop thing to do among the urban youth who play unsuspecting whites like pianos’ is not racist? Cos, like, it looks pretty unambiguous from here.

(OTOH, it doesn’t mean RP is or even was racist. It could very well just mean he was willing to allow racist shite to run under his byline in order to woo a racist demographic, for example. I for one am not goona challenge that possibility – after all, I’m not to one who sees RP as some paragon of virtue, a speaker of bold truths in a house opf lies etc. Far as I’m concerned, he’s just another politician.

Course… that leaves you on the horns of a dilemma, don’t it?

  2. To start off with, I know very little about all of this, but my question is about the title of the post (also consider that I am not yet a supporter of any candidate, left or right). “Ron Paul Advocates Killing Black People with Unregistered Guns” doesn’t really fit. I understand that this doesn’t change the element of racism strewn about, but he does note that it was a friend who was recommending that and that he, “Frankly [doesn’t] know what to make of such advice.” I think that if we are being honest, the title should probably read, “Ron Paul Unsure What to Make of Advice Given to Him by Friend that he and Others Should Kill Black People with Unregistered Guns, but Despite Uncertainty about Advice Still Makes His Fair Share of Racist Comments.”

    Just a thought.

    1. PC, maybe you should consider changing your handle to ‘Disingenuous’? Or (very) charitably, ‘Credulous’…? Srsly, that’s just BS. Especially given the amount of detail in the scheme outlined… At most the revision should be ‘RP Outlines How To Gun Down Black Youths And Get Away With It, While Adding He Had His Fingers Crossed Behind His Back, Honest.’

      1. There you go! I hope my handle now pleases you.

I will now go on living my life exactly like I was before, because, let’s face it: this is the internet and my measely comment and honest admittance of a fair amount of ignorance will sit here for all four of you to read and (specifically) for you to crush with your mighty wit and then will cease to mean anything when the next politician is found out to have a major scandal, at which time I will continue to go on with my life exactly the same way as I had before (which does not consist of public evaluating others unless it’s through an extremely long, smarmy, run-on sentence).

P.S. I would vote for “RP Outlines How To Gun Down Black Youths And Get Away With It, While Adding He Had His Fingers Crossed Behind His Back, Honest.” as an appropriate title change.

  3. I’m not a Ron Paul supporter, but I am a person who reads everything with a great deal of skepticism. I saw Chris’ headline and was floored, then I read the article. I get the point that Chris is making, but that’s not what is said in the article.

  4. I read the scan. “The animals are coming” drives home the point- that in Ron Paul’s newsletter, there were people he believed were not quite human.

In the next column over, the writer gets worked up over Governor Weld still being “for letting gays force their way onto other people’s property.”

First “the animals” are going to be coming for your car. And gays? Coming on other people’s property? To do, what, exactly? Slipcover a floral Ethan Allen davenport? Horrors.

  5. Ron Paul Covered Up Newsletters For Political Reasons – He defended them during a campaign, because he felt he couldn’t tell the truth. So he’s not above lying in order to play politics. Bye bye mr pure an mr nonpolitician —link related–> http://bit.ly/vSscFl

  6. If anyone, of any color, tried to steal my car or harm my family, I would happily blow the piece of shit away.

Has any one else even responded to the fact that car-jacking happens?

The idiot who wrote this piece may be a racist, but that doesn’t negate the fact that some humans are scum, or animals if you prefer, who prey on others for fun and profit.

Some of them happen to be black.

Fuck ’em. Kill ’em. All of them, whatever their stripe.

Put a gun in my face, I’ll put a bullet in yours.

But mine is registered, and I’ll tell the cops just what happened.

I do not endorse fleeing the scene of your actions.

  7. Just for the sake of it, i looked up the stats on carjacking. One outstanding datum was that blacks are (statistically speaking) about twice as likely to be carjacking victims as whites (though carjackers are also more likely to be black than white).

  8. Spend a lifetime delivering over 3000 babies and look what happens:
