Palin Quits Her Bus Tour Halfway Through

From Mediaite:

Real Clear Politics is reporting that Sarah Palin has taken an “extended hiatus” from her much ballyhooed One Nation Bus Tour. While the tour was never clearly defined with specific stops (especially to the media), Palin had made clear her intention to visit the very politically influential states of Iowa and South Carolina, which raised reasonable expectations that she had some sort of political goal in mind. Well it appears that those stops, and all others, have not been shelved and the Palins have retreated to their home of Alaska for the rest of the summer.

  1. Can’t finish her bus tour. Can’t finish her term as Governor. If, and I mean IF (provided all registered voters lost their minds), she were to become President… she’d what? She’d quit two years in?

  2. If you are thinking of voting Palin you better really like her vice presidential pick because that’s who will be running the country in 18 months.

  3. I guess her book sales have tapered off. No need for self promotion right now.
That, or she finally saw the condition of America outside of Alaska and realized it’s not the sunshine and rainbows storybook that she was taught it to be. “Ew, these people are yucky. I didn’t think ghettos and drug addicts really existed! And all these single moms – where are their nannies? Maybe Bristol could give them some teen mom advice – and dance lessons too! Wow, I’m goin’ back to Alaska – some parts of America are just too scary!”

  4. “Well it appears that those stops, and all others, have not been shelved and the Palins have retreated to their home of Alaska for the rest of the summer.”

    This sentence confuses me…

  5. I made a post about the “have not been shelved” part. Just a typo. I think they meant “have now been shelved” but no actual intelligent person read it before publishing. Hey, it passed spell check, must be OK…
