Vincent Price – The Haunted Palace (1963)

From Wikipedia:

The Haunted Palace is a 1963 horror film released by American International Pictures, starring Vincent Price, Lon Chaney Jr., and Debra Paget in a story about a village held in the grip of a cult. The film was directed by Roger Corman, and is usually listed as one in his series of eight films based on the works of American author Edgar Allan Poe.[by whom?] However, the film actually derives its plot from The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, a novella by H. P. Lovecraft.

Vincent Price was awesome, and very often the only good aspect of a lot of bad movies.

i agree, i though his role in Last man on earth was a better adaptation of I am legend, while its not perfect it was better.

Totally agree with ya on that. Vincent Price’s “Last Man on Earth” was really a dark, brooding character in that flick. Much better than the remake by far.

I love Lovecraft and have watched some pretty mediocre movies just because of their connection to my favorite horror author. I’ll definitely check this out.

Vincent Price, Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee.

Just what the (usually evil) doctor ordered.

Vincent Price was amazing because his voice and charismatic way geve us the camp element so that he could concentrate on playing fantastic roles absolutely straight.

I’m not sure there is another actor that could have made the Tingler work!
