Trump Sends Investigators to Hawaii to Look into Obama

From CNN:

Washington (CNN) – Self-proclaimed birther Donald Trump is now so doubtful of President Obama’s birthplace that he’s sent a team of his own investigators to Hawaii in hopes of getting to the bottom of the issue.

That’s according to Trump himself, who, in an interview with NBC, warned his investigators just might uncover “one of the greatest cons in the history of politics and beyond.”

“I have people that have been studying it and they cannot believe what they’re finding,” Trump said an interview that aired Thursday Morning.

Asked if he has assigned people specifically to search in Hawaii, Trump said, “Absolutely.”

And Wing Nut Daily seems to be excited about Trump combing over this issue:

  1. The *big con* Trump will unveil is the birther lie itself. He doesn’t believe in this nonsense and is spouting it to show how gullible the right wing is — and how cynically Fox News and other powerbrokers manipulate them (and of course for typical self-promotion). You read it here first.

  2. Even the GOP has said they’re satisfied that Obama is American. Trump’s just doing this for publicity to get support from the Tea Partiers and Reps that still are Birthers, in case he decides to run for office.

I think Obama is withholding his birth certificate because:
    1) He’s got real problems to solve.
    2) It opens the door for a demand of every legal document involving him.
    3) It makes the Birthers continue to look like idiots.

    1. Even the GOP has said they’re satisfied that Obama is American. Trump’s just doing this for publicity to get support from the Tea Partiers and Reps that still are Birthers, in case he decides to run for office.

      Well said!

I think Obama is withholding his birth certificate because:

      Wait. What?

  3. Well, I suspect that there is something on the BC that BO doesn’t want revealed. Not necessarily that he wasn’t born in Hawaii. Probably something to do with the true relationship between his parents. I’m glad trump is doing this. Here’s some other things he should look into:

All college records from Occidental College, Columbia University or Harvard Law School.
All Harvard Law Review articles and University of Chicago scholarly articles
Obama’s client list from the law firm he worked for in Chicago
His Illinois state senate records and schedules (which are supposedly lost)
    His passport records.
His parents’ marriage license and divorce decree.
His mother’s marriage license from her second marriage.
    His adoption and kindergarten records

    1. What does any of this have to do with anything? Why would he have to reveal anything about any of this? You do realize that even the courts said he had no reason to open his college records, because there is no reason of suspicion as to why he should have to. No other president has ever been scrutinized to this extent. I don’t know why I even bothered typing this, you’re either a nut (the most plausible answer, judging by your avatar. Are you going to start in on how the Masons and the Illuminati are in control?) or a troll.

      1. Hi, Roundhouse. This is something I am exploring. I just wonder if this is actually true:
“No other president has ever been scrutinized to this extent.”
I would really appreciate evidence for this.

On the other hand it seems no president, it would seem, has ever gone to such lengths to hide his past. (Executive Order 13489). It tends to rouse suspicions.

      2. I’m sure every president is investigated, full background checks, etc. But this is different. This is hysteria on the part of people who don’t like or agree with him.

      3. I’ll refer you to what Mike K has to say later in the comments. This whole issue is lunacy, plain and simple. Time to leave Lala Land and join reality.

  4. Where do I sign up for the job of romping around Hawaii, not finding a birth certificate? Frankly, I would do almost anything to get the hell out of Wisconsin. I’m just saying…I could not find a birth certificate for years.

  5. As I’ve said before, if he wasn’t born in the U.S., the GOP would have found evidence of it long before November ’08. This was already a hot issue before he was elected. Both sides look so deeply into their opponents’ records that there’s no way this couldn’t have been researched as thoroughly as possible. Especially when you consider that it would have eliminated him from the race without question. If he’s not an American, he’s gotten away with it, and it will remain so.

  6. I can’t help, but chime in and echo some of the previous sentiments. First, there is no question that this issue was belabored prior to his election. It would seem that if Trump, or any other person needed to “get to the bottom of this” it would have greatly assisted their cause before he was sworn in… To continue the histrionics, especially when an individual like Trump is involved, smells highly of ulterior motives, to say the least. Frankly, I think no one knows what kind of voting power the teaparty and jesus freaks are going to bring during the next election, hence the many fine and upstanding individuals “researching” their potential to run for president. I just cannot see why this issue has any validity at this point. Of all the things to piss and moan about, one should direct their resources on more utilitarian efforts; “…politics and beyond.” Trump sounds like a cognitively impaired Buzz Lightyear. Let’s just spout random inflammatory nonsense and see if the numbskulls react favorably. That’s a tried and true recipe for success.

  7. Agreed that this birth certificate thing is silly. People like Trump, if they’re serious about the TRUTH, should be focusing on the REAL issues.

Trunmp has the resources to pay for SERIOUS research. So come on, Trump, how about it? WHAT ABOUT THE SCAR?

I’m joking, of course. As nomad above might recognize if he could just TAKE OFF THE BLINKERS for a moment, this is obviously a DISTRACTION. There’s no way Trump is not part of the machine, after all! And notice the TIMING?? As soon as people start looking at the SCAR, Trump focuses attention back on the birth certificate… COINCIDENCE? I THINK NOT!

    1. Oh yeah?
Liberals are outraged that Donald Trump has revived the “birther” issue. Till now I too felt it was a frivolous issue born of the latent racism of the conservative agenda. And, before now, I too would have cheered Whoopi and Cosby and John Legend when they accused Trump of racism. But now, I’m not so sure about that. In a roundabout way the birthers bring up an important issue; but not for the reason they proclaim. I think it is very likely that the president was born in Hawaii as he claims. In any case he would still be a legitimate American citizen, due to the fact that his mother was a citizen. No, the original birth certificate is important for another reason. That document would be an important clue to the secretive past of this president. It is important to find out who Barack Obama is, first, because we don’t really know; and second because this presidency has been an abject failure, in regard to anything that could be identified as a progressive agenda. At the same time that Obama has bungled the things he proposes to be fighting for, the Republicans have made great political gains. This administration has performed so poorly I have begun to suspect that this continuous capitulation to the Republican agenda is by design. It is abundantly clear [just scan the articles on this blog] that Barack Obama has sold out his constituents. And yet, there they are, his loyal supporters, running valiantly to his defense. I suggest, instead, that Whoopi, Coz and the other liberal defenders of Obama look at the damage that he has done to anything that might be called a liberal agenda. Perhaps, instead of calling the Don a racist, the liberals -the people Obama betrayed- should join in the examination of Obama’s past. Perhaps then we will all find out, liberals and birthers alike, who he’s really working for.

      1. All of the stupid crap you have brought up about his past are laughable. The passport issue is false, his college records are not suspect, his client list has nothing to do with his presidency, and so on down the line. Am I dissappointed in Obama? Yes, I expected better. But the issues you are talking about are all red herrings. You sound like so many conspiracy nuts that I have met in my life. You all are just characatures of each other. And you swallow so much ridiculous garbage, hook line and sinker. I mentioned your avatar earlier, it is exactly the kind of image a conspiracy theorist would use. The things you write tend to be verbose and overly dramatic. It is as if there is a Conspiracy Theorist’s Handbook that you guys follow.

You guys should start your own party. We could have The Tinfoil Party pitted against the Teabaggers. It could be a lot of fun! But I guess it would be hard to find candidates, being as if whoever was chosen so much as farted too loud in his childhood it would be a sign of a deep rooted plot against the country.

      2. Comments intentionally dismissive, nomad. I’m merely sitting in the peanut gallery, giggling, and pelting you with the occasional fragment of shell. Your ‘arguments’ are frankly undeserving of serious response.

Note that lack of ‘refutation’ does not equal validation…
