  1. McGee,

Arguably my favorite GNR song. Works beautifully accoustically, too.

Slash is damn good at that guitar thing.

  2. Wow, thanks for that! What a great song, what a great riff. Sweet Child O’ Mine was the first thing I learned to play on guitar when I was about 10 or 11 years old. A bit of a tough one for a beginner, but I refused to quit, practiced it for months until I could play it all… Thanks again for posting this great version!

  3. Mike K,

Where I once loved that song, hearing it twice an hour on every station eventually made me hate it. I also don’t care for “unplugged” versions of songs. But that was DAMN good. I never thought that song could translate over to an acoustic version, but it really works.

  4. I’m not your typical G&R fan, actually – I wouldn’t say I’m a fan at all But, Slash is a great guitarist and that’s a great song. Tough song for singers, because you have to balance doing a Axel impersonation with just singing. I thought this one did a good job.

As for acoustic renderings of great “metal” songs? The sun rises and sets with Rodrigo y Grabriela: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0CsLefLisE actually, that’s not fair because their other songs are great too.

  5. Rampage_Rick,

I’d give my left nut, right leg, and a kidney to be able to play guitar as well as Slash
