Armed Agent Slips Past DFW Body Scanner

Feeling safer yet?

An undercover TSA agent was able to get through security at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport with a handgun during testing of the enhanced-imaging body scanners, according to a high-ranking, inside source at the Transportation Security Administration.

The source said the undercover agent carried a pistol in her undergarments when she put the body scanners to the test. The officer successfully made it through the airport’s body scanners every time she tried, the source said.

“In this case, where they had a test, and it was just a dismal failure as I’m told,” said Larry Wansley, former head of security at American Airlines. “As I’ve heard (it), you got a problem, especially with a fire arm.”

  1. Oh, so Miss TSA Pistolpants gets to go sailing through security while I’m standing around in the Las Vegas airport over the weekend while agents took my carry on suitcase to a back room for some special time alone.

I’ll never reveal my secret of how I get 3 pairs of shoes and three complete outfits in that tiny case. Never!!!

  2. ok, the thing said that the agents who failed the test were not disciplined, but it was not really clear if this was an equipment failure, or a personnel failure. did the gun not show up on the scanner, or were they just not paying attention?

    1. I’ve heard the xray scanners dont work as well you would expect, one can hide weapons in the crouch or on ones sides. I am afraid in time the truth will be revealed that these dont work as well as planned and random rub downs for all!
