Chris, out of curiosity: do you play any instruments?

For some reason, watching Gould listening to his own recording take during the last several minutes is very compelling to me.
Played guitar for 10 years…. some bass, a little keyboards… But I’m learning cello now…. It’s forcing me to really pay attention to sight reading and musical discipline.
Good for you! I started cello about 4 years ago, and it’s been consistently (extremely) challenging and rewarding. I can still barely deal with tenor clef, though. Can’t teach an old dog new clefs.
