    Ah, yes.
    Having spent several months driving around France, I can attest to the wonders of French parking.

    I think my favourite from my last trip there was being in the carpark of a shopping centre, and watching a car drive up over the kerb and pull up on the pedestrian walkway RIGHT up outside the automatic door entry to the shops.

    I then watched as a very well dressed middle aged woman turned on her hazard lights, got out of the car, walked around and carefully removed the number plates from her car, placed them in her handbag, and walked into the shopping center.

    Totally brilliant.
