Complaint From a Reader

It looks like I’m not the only blog who gets complaints from some readers who feel that everything should be custom fitted to their particular tastes.

J-Walk gets them too:

I started reading this blog several years ago. It was one of my favorites. Now it only seems to consist of three types of posts: 1) My God I really love banjos, 2) My God I really hate Christians and 3) one or two random posts leading up to either #1 or #2 again.

I’ll continue to read, hoping it will stabilize someday, but I hold out very little hope. It’s like J-Walk Blog has gone from being a seven course meal in a fine restaurant to being a bag of stale Fritos and a warm Coca-Cola.

  1. Chris,

Could you stop posting stuff like this? It really is a hastle to have to scroll past it. My life is so free of conflict and turmoil that having to roll that mouse wheel a few extra degrees really puts a downer on my day.

  2. Well, I have to admit I miss some of the cool gadgets, case mods, etc. that used to be posted. But, it’s not my blog and if I didn’t like it, I wouldn’t continue reading!

  3. Oh, and I don’t have a life so I fail to see why you should have one either. You need to start posting on the weekends so I have something to do, and no more holiday breaks. None of that stuff I don’t like, just the good stuff.

    Best regards,

  4. hmmmm…

I see a disgruntled reader voicing his preferences and concerns – ie. feedback.
And a blogger telling said reader his complaints will not be addressed because they don’t fit in with the blogger’s own philosophy.

Sounds like both parties are in the right and things are as they should be.
