  1. Mike K,

I love those exaggerated movements everyone (and everything) always had in those earliest cartoons.

And watching those skeletons dance, I couldn’t kept thinking of Jerry Garcia (who remembers the Dead’s “I will get by” video from circa 1985?

  2. Inti,

Mike K: Didn’t you know? In the early 20th century the ultimate trend was having your bones replaced with rubber tubes. The noodley movements in these early cartoons seemed all too natural in those times, but nobody remembers that nowadays.

    A clasic Cynical-c moment.

  4. Mike K,

Oh yeah, that’s right! I was watching some old news reels and realized that people walked around really fast back then, and at the age of 16, all men were issued a black or brown fedora. Good times, good times.

  5. Rampage_Rick,

That might be one of the earliest examples I’ve seen of Disney reusing animated cells (albeit in the same cartoon) They show an action travelling to the left, then flip them and replay it to the right.

Of course such a cartoon might not fly these days given that it portrays animal cruelty…
