Quote of the Day

Rush Limbaugh stops popping hillbilly heroin long enough to say we should bring back segregated school buses.

I think the guy’s wrong. I think not only it was racism, it was justifiable racism. I mean, that’s the lesson we’re being taught here today. Kid shouldn’t have been on the bus anyway. We need segregated buses — it was invading space and stuff. This is Obama’s America.

  1. Fox news has never been good at being subtle, but seeing as they keep two pundits who are very blatantly and openly being racist as all hell on their payroll I’m expecting a show hosted by people in sheets very soon.

  2. How can people still listen to him? He and Glenn Beck are obviously too far out to be taken seriously any more, and yet some people do.

  3. I wonder how that segregation Rush is calling for would work? Would a family tree have to be investigated to determine who your ancestor’s were? Or would DNA testing determine what you are? Then what would the percentage cut off point be? Or would you go by a special color determining device based on appearance. There again what would be the cut off point or shade of color percentage?

  4. He’s being sarcastic, but I don’t think that makes what he says any less racist. Especially since some of those listeners are going to agree with him, face value.

  5. The rant was based in sarcasm and the criticism was based on only half of his statement. He was referring to a Newsweek article that said racism in whites is genetic, he then applied it to “real life” situations in a saterical and sarcastic manner. He was not calling for segregation.
