The End of My Whole Foods Boycott

Granted, technically I wasn’t boycotting Whole Foods because of the ramblings of their CEO, I just didn’t have a good enough credit rating to be let into the store. But it’s the only store around me that I can get this:

Never has Anise, Licorice, Vanilla, Cinnamon, Clove, Wintergreen, sweet Birch, Molasses, Nutmeg, Pimento Berry Oil, Balsam Oil and Oil of Cassia tasted so good…

  1. All my local Krogers and Giant Eagles sell this. They’ve also got the green and black candy bars everyone’s always talking about. My portion of Ohio is probably as liberal as it gets, and even our right-wingers are the rich yuppie kind (though just as insane with the birther stuff and the socialism jabber), kinda makes sense the big chains would have to stock similar items to compete.

  2. @ FS: Yes, my heart belongs to Boylan’s.

    @ Miss Cellania: LOL!

I find that crushing and melting the root beer-flavored hard candy barrells and mixing them with carbonated water is an ineffective way to make the drink. It also takes a long time. I wish I could get out of this drug store.

  3. In the Boston area, Downtown Wine & Spirits in Somerville’s Davis Square used to sell Virgil’s. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen this on the South Shore, too, though I can’t remember where.
