The thing I find most disturbing is the make up and breast implants. Seriously, wtf? A nickel to a donut says if we saw the full body, they are wearing heels. Disgusting.
I’d prefer them to the stick-figure waifs currently being sold to me as the feminine ideal (though I’m patiently waiting for the return of Ann Margaret-style voluptuousness).
There seemed to be something highly photoshopped about them, but done by someone who wants to make people look even more hideous than many people already do.
Haven’t looked at this gallery but I’ve seen a majority of the competitive female bodybuilders in person. In 2005 the Olympia competition was being held at the same time I was at the Orleans in Vegas, lots of built men and women around, there is something unnatural about both the male and female extreme bodybuilders.
I think, Miss Cellania, the key is that Linda Hamilton didn’t look like a total freak of nature. She looked toned and strong.
That grossly over-developed musculature looks horrible on men or women. It’s the stacked equivalent of being anorexic, outside the realm of aesthetically pleasing and, I suspect, healthy.

Translating .ru to english, it looks like those are heavily processed. He’s called a photographer/painter or something.

Yar, but it keeps some damaging parts of a feminine ideal: makeup and surgery.

“[T]here is something unnatural about both the male and female extreme bodybuilders.”
Indeed there is. Steroids. Take a look at natural bodybuilders; they’re nothing like the juiced-up ones.

You posted this right after the food question just so I wouldn’t feel so guilty about the cookies, didn’t you?

You know, I was just about to eat dinner, but all it took was the picture to highlight this entry to kill my appetite.
Thanks.

I think the ultimate buff female body would be Linda Hamilton in Terminator 2. She had great muscles when flexed, but still looked like a real woman.

The third one looks a bit like Penelope Cruz on growth hormones.

Some fitness women are very very nice like Gale Sanez..bodybuilding is often taking things way too far.
