I keep getting emails about the “Send in a pic of your Desktop” entry last week with people asking me why I have a PC desktop and not a Mac. I have a Macbook at the moment but my main computer is still a PC. We’ve upgraded Mrs. C’s desktop to an iMac after testing the waters with a Macbook but I have yet to upgrade mine. So we’re close to being an all Mac household and will be when I have a good enough reason to drop some money on an upgrade but for now my Win2K machine is chugging along.
But for you doubters who think I’m lying about going Mac, here’s my desktop from my Macbook:
Meet Fred: a hyperactive six-year-old who has “anger management issues†and talks like a chipmunk on helium. As with Adam Sandler movies, it is hard to fathom why millions of people find Fred’s YouTube videos so funny.
Fred is a fictional character created by Lucas Cruikshank, a 14-year-old from Nebraska who is handy with a camera. Fred’s tales about his absentee father, alcoholic mother, schoolboy crushes and juvenile pranks have been watched by millions. His YouTube channel is the fourth most subscribed in the website’s history, more popular than old favourites such as lonelygirl15.
But after watching his videos, any sane person would have to conclude that if you ever met Fred, infanticide would be the only plausible option.
