**ONLY WORKS WITH EARPHONES** I It will sound better if you close your eyes. “Holophonic Experience” – Barbershop Holophony is a 3D sound recording technique which uses a technique where an original recording is combined with a reference recording. The result is an extremely lifelike three dimensional audio recording which has been said to exceed the realism of stereo sound.

Shepard Tone
From Wikipedia:
A Shepard tone, named after Roger Shepard, is a sound consisting of a superposition of sine waves separated by octaves. When played with the base pitch of the tone moving upwards or downwards, it is referred to as the Shepard scale. This creates the auditory illusion of a tone that continually ascends or descends in pitch, yet which ultimately seems to get no higher or lower.[1]
Here’s an example of the Shepard tone.
Critical Mass Bicyclist Assaulted by NYPD
From Gothamist:
Though the city has not been enforcing the controversial parade permit law when it comes to Critical Mass, police have been ticketing cyclists during the ride for such infractions as not having the required lights.
A representative for TIMES UP! tells us that the cyclist in this video was arrested, held for 26 hours, and charged with attempted assault and resisting arrest. One other cyclist was ticketed Friday night for riding outside the bike lane, which is not actually illegal and often necessary, considering how popular bike lanes are for double parking.
UPDATE: The AP is reporting that the police officer in the video has been stripped of his badge and gun and the NYPD has “placed the unidentified officer on desk duty pending the outcome of a department investigation.”
Chase – Get It On (Live February 28, 1974)
Rare footage of Bill Chase and his band performing live at the Faces club in Chicagao on February 28, 1974. This video was shot during the album release party for the Pure Music album. This is the only known concert footage of the band. This clip is the encore with solos by the whole trumpet section.
Sadly, just six months later, Bill and three members of his band were killed in a plane crash.
(Thanks Bill)
Bush Administration Projects Record 2009 Deficit
From Yahoo! News:
WASHINGTON – The next president will inherit a record budget deficit of $482 billion, according to a new Bush administration estimate released Monday.
The administration said the deficit was being driven to an all-time high by the sagging economy and the stimulus payments being made to 130 million households in an effort to keep the country from falling into a deep recession. But the numbers could go even higher if the economy performs worse than the White House predicts.

Oliver Stone’s W. Teaser Trailer
From FirstShowing.net:
Are you ready for this? George W. Bush that drinks and gambles? The first teaser trailer for Oliver Stone’s W. biopic has just hit and it’s not that bad! I’m not sure it will be any good either, but I’m going to leave that judgment up to you. I’m amazed to see that they’re showing him in such a revealing light throughout all of this trailer. He looks like a troublemaker and the trailer poses an interesting question – how did he get into the White House?!
Police: Accused shooter hated liberals, wanted to be killed
From Knoxnews:
The shotgun-wielding suspect in Sunday’s mass shooting at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church was motivated by a hatred of “the liberal movement,†and he planned to shoot until police shot him, Knoxville Police Chief Sterling P. Owen IV said this morning.
Jim D. Adkisson, 58, of Powell wrote a four-page letter in which he stated his “hatred of the liberal movement,†Owen said. “Liberals in general, as well as gays.â€
Adkisson said he also was frustrated about not being able to obtain a job, Owen said.
The letter, recovered from Adkisson’s black 2004 Ford Escape, which was parked in the church’s parking lot at 2931 Kingston Pike, indicates he had been planning the shooting for about a week.
“He fully expected to be killed by the responding police,†the police chief said.
Owen said Adkisson specifically targeted the church for its beliefs, rather than a particular member of the congregation.
“It appears that church had received some publicity regarding its liberal stance,†the chief said. The church has a “gays welcome†sign and regularly runs announcements in the News Sentinel about meetings of the Parents, Friends and Family of Lesbians and Gays meetings at the church.
