The blood type theory of personality is a popular belief in Japan that a person’s ABO blood type or ketsueki-gata (血液型, ketsueki-gata?) is predictive of their personality, temperament, and compatibility with others, similar to the Western world’s astrology. This belief has carried over to some extent in other parts of East Asia such as South Korea and Taiwan. This theory is completely dismissed by many scientists as superstition or pseudoscience.

Leave a comment below.oh fucking hell, i had this experience the other day. i’ve found it’s commonly observed by naive korean girls. these young girls who’ve barely gotten to know me observe me for a few minutes and then, beaming with confidence, “your blood type is A!” it irritates the shit out of me. twice already that’s happened. and then they change their minds when they realize that they’ve made their assumption about my personality while i was drunk as a skunk. it’s quite insulting actually. man, now i’m angry.
