The 10 Most Ridiculous Lawsuits of All Time

And these are only the tip of the iceberg:

If you can’t sue the system, sue yourself. 1995, Robert Lee Brock sued himself for $5 million. He claimed that he had violated his own civil rights and religious beliefs by allowing himself to get drunk and commit crimes which landed him in the Indian Creek Correctional Center in Virginia, serving a 23 year sentence for grand larceny and breaking and entering. What could he possibly have to gain by suing himself? Since being in prison prevented him from having an income, he expected the state to pay. This case was thrown out.

  1. It’s not that the lawsuits didn’t go anywhere, it’s that people have the stones to bring them up in the first place. Give me an f’n break. The reason kids are doing heinous crimes? Because they’re learning from their parents to not take any responsbility for anything!

    We’re all doomed.

  2. I saw one of these types of lists where the people were actually successful, and that was very interesting because it showed just how ridiculously flawed the justice system can be.

An example of one was that a woman was going to pick up a child from day-care, and a kid ended up knocking her over, which twisted her ankle [I think]. She successfully sued the day-care facility for not preventing the rambunctious kid from running into her.

    The kid was her own.
