Composite Drawings

The Michigan State Police website has a lot of sketch artist drawings up. A few of them have a picture of the suspect up once they have been captured so that you can compare.

Nobel Prize in Literature Winners

I have read about 15% of the authors on this list.

A Voice From Beyond The Grave

From Counterpunch:

By DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER

A letter to his brother, Milton, written November 8, 1954:

Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history.

There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes you can do these things.

Among them are H. L. Hunt (you possibly know his background), a few other Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or business man from other areas.

Their number is negligible and they are stupid.

MyFoodPhone

This would be a great idea if it wasn’t so stupid.

* It’s pretty simple, actually.
* With a camera phone, you take pictures of what you eat.
* You upload the pictures to your personal dietitian.
* Once a week, your dietitian analyzes your information.
* She then sends you a video clip of feedback.
* Follow your dietitian’s advice and you should begin to see results.

Yep, $99 bucks to send someone pictures of your food. What if you don’t eat all of it? Do you send an after picture when you are done to show what you actually didn’t eat? What about beverages? Do you take a picture everytime you have something to drink also? To be fair, I would lose weight on this plan. Spending $99 a month on this silliness would definitely take food off my plate!
