How A Lightsaber Works

I have been seeing this article all around the blogosphere today and finally clicked on it. Cute. From HowStuffWorks.
When you turn on the lightsaber (*see important safety tips), you will notice the blade rapidly extending to its set length. You can adjust the length using the blade length adjusting knob. The lightsaber blade will make a distinctive sound that is typical of an arc wave energy field. You will also feel a gyroscopic effect in the handle, which again is a distinctive characteristic of the arc wave blade. This gyroscopic effect can take some getting used to, so be sure to handle any active lightsaber with extreme care until you are completely familiar with its feel and handling.

Below is an illustrative array of potential responses sent in by Brights. Look over the listings and select your favorite(s). A few of these – if to be viewed in a constructive light – would necessitate that a smile or a laugh accompany the verbal delivery.
My favorite is: May science illuminate you.

Better stalking with technology.
I don’t know how or why this started, but in my spare time I like to track down and befriend ex-childstars that are now in college. When I was younger, I used to always wonder what these child actors were really like. Well, thanks to the internet and thefacebook, now I can finally find this out. This webpage was made to show off my collection of child stars and to let everyone know just how cool I am. (pretty effing cool).
